Back to Top Junior LifeguardingIntroduction to Lifeguarding duties and responsibilities of being a lifeguard. Students learn First Aid and CPR as well as other water safety activities. Each participant will get full exposure to all aspects of the Aquatic Center. Volunteer hours are required for each certification. Swimming skills must be level 4 or above. Shirts are included in final costs.
Back to Top Lifeguarding ClassBecome a lifeguard through American Red Cross. A pass on the final test will certify each participant as an ARC Certified Lifeguard.
Back to Top Aqua Fitness ClassesAqua fitness classes are a great workout and they put very little strain on the body. All classes are drop in. Times vary depending on the class. Aqua fitness classes can be paid for daily or with an all-inclusive “Fitness Pass”. Aqua fitness will aid in strengthening your muscles, increasing flexibility, joint mobility and cardio-respiratory capacity without excess stress to joints and muscles. Anyone can participate in aqua fitness because every exercise that is performed in the water can be tailored to your fitness level. Fitness classes are open to everyone 16 years and older. Dates: June 9-13 (Limited) and June 18-24 (Full Operation) Back to Top Low Impact Water AerobicsThis workout incorporates the same principles as many aerobic classes and adapts them to the aquatic environment. The low impact workout will be done in the shallow end of the 50 meter pool. Shallow water exercises, dumbbells and more are supplied. This high impact workout will be done in the multi-use pool and the 50 meter deep end. Shallow and deep water exercises, hydro belts, dumbbells and more are supplied. Days: Monday - Thursday Times: 8:00-8:55 PM Back to Top Lap SwimLap lanes will be set up for varying speeds of swimmers. All swimmers must circle swim in appropriate lanes. Your body will really enjoy this great aerobic workout. Days: Monday - Friday Times: 6:30-7:55 AM, 12:00-12:55 PM, *8:00-8:55 PM (*M-Th only) Back to Top Water WalkingWater walking is based in the current channel. All abilities are welcome.
